My fic is archived at An Archive Of Our Own. This journal is a mirror of my Dreamwidth journal, same user name.
My favorite TV series is Stargate SG-1, followed by Babylon 5, Buffy, Battlestar Galactica, and Farscape (not necessarily in that order). When I was five, my favorite TV show was This Old House. My favorite author is Lois McMaster Bujold, whom I highly recommend, followed by Eric Flint and David Weber.
My favorite poet is George Herbert, who lived shortly after Shakespeare.
I am a grammar geek. I am willing to Beta stories in the Stargate, Star Wars, Buffy, and Babylon 5 universes.
You may alter, adapt, remix, re-vision, perform, reproduce, or transform any of my work in any way, shape, or form, as long as you include a reference to beatrice_otter (and/or http://beatrice_otter.livejournal.com) and let me know so that I can enjoy it, too.
Once something's done and posted, any kind of discussion, commentary, critique, dissection, etc is welcome, whether it be here, elsewhere, what-have-you. Need an example for the meta point you're making? Feel free to pick something I wrote to little pieces, and I mean that in both the literary-dissection sense or in the more typically-used send of the word "critique", namely, the pointing-out of what didn't work for you in the story.
This journal is primarily for fandom use. Although I am friends with some of the people on my "friends list" (mostly those whom I know in real life), I use the "friends list" primarily as a means of finding fanfiction and interesting meta posts. And I barely have enough time to read what's on my "friends list" as it is. If I don't friend you back, or defriend you, it has nothing to do with how nice you are or how much I like you, so please don't take it personally.
