Various people have been posting their Christmas wishlists online, and here goes mine.  This is my fannish wishlist; the stuff you actually have to spend money on goes on the list for family.  But for fannish things, here we go:

And yes, I realize I could make most (all?) of them myself with a simple cropping and/or resizing of the image, but alas, I have no experience with any digital photographic manipulation.


Non-icony fannish things I would like:
SG-1 fic where Sha're is a strong, intelligent woman who actually is from another planet, i.e. she doesn't think, act, or talk like a modern Western feminist.  Nothing against modern Western feminism, but I do like it when aliens are, well, not exactly like us.

Doctor Who fic that really makes use of the fact that the Doctor isn't human and doesn't think like us and really is over 800 years old, no matter how young he can seem when he gets enthusiastic.

Good, non-slashy Superman Returns/Batman Begins crossovers

Star Trek: Good, non-slashy Garak fiction.  Or stories about Vulcans, in which they are allowed to be more than just solemn humans with funny ears who go into heat every seven years.  I'd love to see Pon Farr handled in a way that wasn't just porn, y'know?  It's gotta have severe effects on their sense of self and identity and the way they look at the world and marriage and family, but all most people write about is the hawt alien secks.

West Wing fic starring Leo and Annabeth.

Battlestar Galactica fic with little/no Kara in it.  Particularly stuff dealing with the Final Five, Roslin/Adama, and Lee/Dee.  Or Billy Keikeya.
